Chinese Strawberry (Yang Mei) 杨梅

If you happen to be cruising along the  Yangtze river this month, the chances are you will see a Chinese strawberry tree or what the chinese call Yangmei. Due to it’s health inducing properties, this Chinese Super fruit has recently become more popular as a juice or powder in the west, so you may have been introduced to it by one of it’s many other name such as Myrica Rubra,  Yumberry,  Waxberry, Bayberry or arbutus.
