Yoga and Indian Cooking Class with Erin Lee Henshaw and Reshma Khan

Former Hutonger and recent co-founder of Mind Body Fitness Retreats, Erin Lee Henshaw is a Yoga Alliance-certified Hatha teacher and international tea traveler. Erin teaches wide variety of mindfulness programs that are suitable for families, travelers, extended-stay guests and companies. She recently returned from studies in Rishikesh India, and would like to share her experiences and knowledge in a positive, shared-learning environment. Through her programs, guests will learn why Yoga isn’t just downward dog, but a way to create pleasure in our bodies and minds, how to access our human potential, and why teas and herbs are much more than a source of caffeine.
The aim of yoga is to cultivate a physical, mental and psychic balance in life. Yogic cooking is nutritious, easy to digest and free of toxins, allowing you to improve your health, keep your body strong and facilitate spiritual revolution.
Drawing from the yogic food philosophy, Chef Reshma Khan takes you on a journey to discover the art of cooking delicious, healthy and nourishing vegetarian meals.
Learn what spices have which qualities, what foods have which sources of energy and nutrition and how to keep a balanced diet, with special emphasis on foods that bring peace to body, mind, and spirit.
Note: Yoga mats are not provided for this class. Please bring your own yoga mats.
