The Art of Nourishment ~ Springtime!

The Hutong and Yoga Yard are thrilled to present the first in a series of co-created workshops, designed to give you informative and enjoyable ways to cultivate a healthy balance between how you feel, eat and live. The Art of Nourishment ~ Springtime! is a yoga and culinary workshop incorporating the seasonal qualities and foods of Spring.

The workshop will begin at Yoga Yard with a yoga session designed to align with and balance the energetic qualities of Spring. The practice will guide you to open and strengthen your body and breath, while exploring the seasonal themes of vision and growth. The session will conclude with a deeply nourishing restorative yoga practice, where you can fully relax, restore, and arrive back to a feeling of rejuvenated energy, and clarity of mind. The yoga session will be led by Robyn Wexler.

We will then take a trip to The Hutong Kitchen, where you will learn to create tasty and nourishing dishes with a healthy and lean nutritional profile. The menu focuses on seasonal dishes that will fuel you with energy, and bring comfort to your soul. After learning and cooking together, we will enjoy our delicious meal! Our spring menu is:

Pea soup with lettuce and boiled quail egg, topped off with sesame seed and homemade infused oil.
Grilled marinated tofu with pea shoots salad
Rice noodle salad with snow peas, shiitake mushrooms and spring onions with teriyaki dressing and roasted peanuts
Sticky Red Date cake with Butterscotch sauce
