This spring The Hutong hosted Wilderness Medical Association (WMA) instructor, Sun Lingye, in Beijing for an opportunity to have our own staff as well as others become more prepared for many situations that might arise unexpectedly. During the 4-day course, participants were assessed on topics such as critical system assessment, spine management, hypothermia, anaphylaxis, splinting, improvised patient carries and more. Both instructor and students worked diligently through the material and passed scenario simulators to test participants knowledge in real time.
The hours paid off as each and every participant passed the final exam and simulation with distinction. It was an incredibly insightful and applicable course that all participants were so happy with. The Hutong is planning future collaborations with WMA for training courses in the future. If you would like information about the course or are looking for potential future dates, please send us an email at info[at]thehutong[dot]com.
A special thanks to Harrow International School Beijing for providing the ideal venue for the training.
