Qingtuan is the popular food that people usually make during the swept tomb festival (Qingming Jie) in April in Southern China, typically in the Zhejiang area. It is the steamed sticky rice balls stuffed with red bean or red dates pastes or cooked meat inside.
Come and join us to learn how to make this seasonal festive food from scratch and have some cultural bite of its tradition in the meanwhile.
We will make Qingtuan with three traditional fillings in the class:
- Red Beans Paste
- Red Dates paste
- Smoked Pork and Bamboo
