Pre-Hispanic Mexican food is understood to be that which existed in Mesoamerica before the arrival of the Spanish in 1521. In this historical period, the indigenous people ate mainly corn, chili, beans, squash, nopales, cocoa, rabbit, turkey and in those ancient times even insects for proteins.

This Mexican Dinner offers an intimate dining experience and gives you the chance to discover a bit about Mexican history. Jimena will share the ancient story of the dishes and the preparation and the secrets behind them while pairing with two of the most traditional Mexican spirits: tequila and mezcal. Engage with her as she introduces the background and inspiration behind each course. The menu will include some of the main ingredients of this ancient cuisine, transporting you to a traditional night out in a Mexican restaurant, where music, food and agave lictors will frame your experience.
