BISS Shanghai Comes to the Forbidden City

In June, the Hutong Education team welcomed eighty year sevens from the British International School Shanghai to the capital city .

For close to a week, the students  joined us for a range of fun and engaging activities. In city proper, they scoured the local hutongs on scavenger hunts, toured the sights, whipped up some delicious dumplings in the Hutong Kitchen, went swimming at the Water Cube and even collaborated with the architects of B.E.A.M. on a one-of-a-kind photography project at Caochangdi, Beijing’s hip art village.

Then, having eaten their fill of Beijing’s famous roast duck, the students set off bright and early for two days of camping, hiking and raft building in the great outdoors.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the terrific BISS students and their teachers and are looking forward to having them back soon!
