The Art of Floral Arrangement: The Basics

An introductory course for flower lovers: you do not need any skills or experience! Aside from covering the basics on how to manage, condition and care for cut flowers, it also encourages a think-out-of-the-box perspective when working with buds, blooms and stalks.

An unconventional look at traditional Christmas floral centerpieces using the best seasonal blooms available. Plus, a fun twist by pairing these with out-of-the-ordinary containers and vessels.

Brenda’s Floral Arrangement workshop includes:

  • Personal guidance within a small group of 10 – 12 people.
  • Flowers and Materials.
  • Florist starter pack [1 scissors, 1 roll of floral tape, 5 pieces of water tubes, 1 pack of florist wire].
  • A free glass of Mulled Wine.

It’s Founder and Principal Florista is Brenda James who manages the day-to-day running of this budding enterprise. She has an innate respect and understanding of flowers and in her hands: buds, petals and blooms transform from natural wonders into a vibrant artistic canvas. Brenda’s first choice wherever possible is locally sourced, seasonal flowers, natural packaging, and recycled materials. She and her team are regularly commissioned to design floral creations for everyday soirees, celebrations, weddings and corporate events. Brenda’s work is regularly published in various publications.
