Children’s Day at The Hutong
Bring the whole family to celebrate China’s annual Children’s Day with a day of engaging hands-on activities!
Since 2007 The Hutong has been a meeting place for families and friends to get together, spend quality time and have fun … add to that five mommies who work at The Hutong, and who want celebrate some quality family time with the wider Beijing family community!
亲爱的朋友们！一年一度的六一儿童节又要到了！今年，胡同邀请大家一起来我们的四合院庆祝孩子们的节日。
作为一个社区与文化中心，胡同从2007年以来就致力于将更多的家庭和朋友们聚集在一起，让大家来通过胡同相聚并分享愉快的时光。我们觉得让大家通过胡同学到新得知识与技巧非常的重要。但更重要的是，通过我们的活动， 能够为大家留下美好的记忆。
On June 5th, we will offer a series of fun and interactive events for children, designed by The Hutong Education staff, that combine learning and entertainment. Children will learn about Chinese historical events by listening to fascinating ancient Chinese stories. There will be creative art classes. There will be baking classes for kids, taught by our Master Baker, and everyone will enjoy their yummy cookies in the end!
There will be nibbles and drinks for the adults to buy on tap. You can also hang out during the activities to enjoy quality time with your kid.
6月5日这一天，我们准备了一组寓教于乐的儿童活动，这些活动是由我们经验丰富的老师们精心设计的。首先艺术老师会带着孩子们去领略一次中国传说的奇幻之旅，接下来是发挥孩子想象力与创新力的艺术课程。我们的甜品厨师老师还会带着大家做好吃的饼干。最后，是所有的人一起品尝甜点的时间！
我们还在现场为大人们准备了可以购买的食物与饮料。如果您愿意的话，您还可以在活动现场观看孩子们的课程，与孩子们度过愉快的时光。
Teacher profiles 老师介绍
Kay Zhang – Art Teacher & Story Teller 张可, 艺术课程 & 故事老师
Kay comes from beautiful beach-side city in South China – Zhu Hai. She always dreamed to move to Beijing where the best art schools in China are.
In 2014, she made her dream come true and started her life as a young artist here. Since then she joined The Hutong, working and traveling across Northern China. Kay enjoys discovering more about Beijing and about northern Chinese culture.
Professionally trained in Central Academy of Fine Arts with academic techniques in painting, Kay’s specialities are oil painting and book decorating. Her favourite artist is the celebrated Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.
张可来自美丽的沿海城市珠海。她从小的梦想就是到北京学习艺术，因为在北京聚集了中国最好的高等艺术学校。
2014年，她终于完成了自己的梦想来到北京。这之后，她和胡同一起去了很多的中国北方地区。因为胡同，她对北京以及中国的文化有了更深入的了解。
张可在中央美术学院的专业是绘画技巧，专长为油画与书籍装饰。她最喜欢的艺术家是墨西哥女艺术家弗里达·卡罗。
Anete Elken – Baking Master 安黛, 甜品厨艺老师
Anete comes from Estonia. She majored in Chinese language and culture and keeps learning more about China every day while living in Beijing. One of her favourite ways to learn Mandarin Chinese is by participating in bilingual improv theatre and performing with Beijing Improv Bilingual Troupe every month.
Anete runs marathons and hopes to start running even longer ultra-marathons soon.
She often thinks about one thing in three different languages – Estonian, English and Chinese. She enjoys cooking, especially baking. She makes bread and pastry and is planning to open an Estonian bakery in Beijing.
安黛来自爱沙尼亚。她在大学主修中文，因为现在在北京生活，她可以每天学习中国文化。她学习中文的一个小秘诀：每个月在开心麻花Improv剧场用中英文双语表演。

- All equipment is provided by The Hutong.
- Booking is limited to 40 children.
- Pre-booking is required. When making the booking, please let us know the age and name of your child.
- If you have to cancel your booking, please do so 48 hours prior to event starting time.
- 胡同将提供课程材料。
