Readers are saying that 44 Days is like getting an honorary degree in Chinese Studies, except you get to laugh and reflect, as you explore China’s past, present and future. During Jeff’s Hutong presentation, which will be different than his recent talks at Bookworm, Capital M and ISB, he will base his discussion on Marcel Proust’s famous quotation, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes”. His presentation will include photographs from his 12,000km voyage across the hinterlands of Western China. There will be a book signing after the talk.

  • Place: The Hutong
  • Date: Saturday, May 24th
  • Time: 3-5 pm

Cost: RMB 100 (50 RMB for members), includes a soft drink or local beer and local snacks.
