Tour of China: Yunnan


For those who truly want to discover the amazing diversity of Chinese cuisine, all from the comfort of our courtyard, our Tour of China will take you to the dim sum dens of Hong Kong, the tea plantations of Yunnan, and the noodle stalls of Xinjiang. With our series of weekly cooking classes, you will be spicing and stir-frying your way around the Middle Kingdom. The Hutong’s Tour of China will feature a different regional cuisine each month. We welcome you to join us on a culinary journey of delicious proportions!

In June, wander the rivers, mountains and fields of southwestern China’s Yunnan province.  This culinary melting pot is home to over 50 ethnic minorities and bears the influence of neighboring Burma and Vietnam.  Tour this fascinating province through twelve of its best dishes:
