David Jacobi is a playwright from New York. His plays have performed at venues such as the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, Primary Stages, Purchase Performing Arts Center, and Clemson University, where he guest lectured. He is a WordBRIDGE alum, and in 2009 was a member of Heart Punch, a writing collective created by Lucy Thurber and Madeleine George of 13P which had a year long residency at New Dramatists. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, David continues to be a professional playwright in the states while sitting on his couch in Beijing.

Anna Chovanec is a dramaturg, director, and actor from Memphis, TN. She holds a degree in theatre production and poetry. The majority of her work has been in new play dramaturgy and literary management, with Fishamble Theatre Company in Dublin, IE, and The Generous Company’s WordBRIDGE Playwright’s Lab in Baltimore, MD. A recent addition to the Beijing theatre scene, she was this year’s BINSPF Assistant Producer and now she is very excited to teach BITE’s all new playwriting workshop!
