“Chinese Calligraphy” is a traditional art unique to Chinese characters, and it is considered one of the four most-sought skills and hobbies of ancient Chinese scholars, along with playing stringed musical instruments, the board game “go” and painting. Chinese Calligraphy plays an important role in Chinese history and still is a traditional way for educated Chinese students to achieve self-cultivation.

From this workshop, you will learn about the history of Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese script styles, and the Four Treasures of the Study. You will also practice the basic strokes of Chinese characters and create a piece to take home.

The workshop includes all the materials and tools, as well as individualized instruction to enable you to make a beautiful piece for you to show your friends and family.
