Nike’s Global Merchandising team joined forces with The Hutong in September to explore the fusion of traditional and innovative forces that drive trendsetters in Beijing. Over forty top executives split into six teams and combined visits to sites like the Maliandao Tea Market, the Olympic Forest Park, NLGX, and other forward-thinking hot-spots with stops at Nike retail outlets around town. The teams finished up back at The Hutong with rooftop presentations of the day’s findings, cultural challenges, tapas by The Hutong’s own Chef Sue, and drinks by Beijing’s most innovative mixologist Paul Mathew.
