For those who truly want to discover the amazing diversity of Chinese cuisine, all from the comfort of our courtyard, our Tour of China will take you to the dim sum dens of Hong Kong, the tea plantations of Yunnan, and the noodle stalls of Xinjiang. With our series of weekly cooking classes, you will be spicing and stir-frying your way around the Middle Kingdom. The Hutong’s Tour of China will feature a different regional cuisine each month. We welcome you to join us on a culinary journey of delicious proportions!
In May, spice up your Sunday with our Sichuan series. Each Sunday you’ll learn three Sichuan dishes, plus the stories behind them. Upon completion of the four-course series, you will also get a set of The Hutong’s Sichuan Recipe Collection cards.

The series will also feature our new Sichuan Recipe Collection booklet. We have taken the best of our chef’s recipes to bring you a wonderful set of cards for your own home kitchen. Each Recipe Collection set will feature step-by-step cards for ten classic dishes and make a great addition to any Chinese kitchen.
The Hutong’s Chinese Kitchen series is designed to teach you the basics and beyond. Each of our cooking workshops covers wok and cutting techniques, tips on how to combine spices and provides the Chinese names of ingredients. You’ll learn how to make best use of fresh seasonal produce and prepare balanced Chinese meals for you, your friends and family. Take a gastronomic tour of China’s regions in our Chinese Kitchen.
