Here at The Hutong, we are also subject to the economic effects of China’s speedy economic growth. As good as this may be for the profitability of enterprising small businesses, one of the downsides is rising raw product prices. Our new 2012 pricing structure is a reflection of this, as our cooking classes will go up 9 kuai to 249 RMB, plus a 1 kuai lolly bill (click here to find out more).
Members’ prices will stay the same – yet due to feedback we have received, we are changing our membership structure. Past membership cards will be phased out by April 2012. New Hutong Membership will cost 200 RMB and will be valid for one year from the date of purchase. Existing members must bring in their membership cards and exchange them for a new membership card before April 31st, 2012.
Hutong Members earn the following perks:
- 10 – 20 % discount on cooking classes, tea workshops, public tours and workshops.
- 48 hour preferred scheduling for workshops and events (your spot is guaranteed if you sign up for an event within 48 hours after it has been announced and scheduled)
- Two exclusive yearly members-only events (one in the spring, one in the fall).
