2 Day – Advanced Photography Weekend Workshop with Boris Austin
This workshop is intended for students who have completed the beginners course or already have some experience. The aim of this class is to help students take their skills to a higher level as they develop their work. Each day students are first introduced to new techniques and ideas in a relaxed workshop space and then taken out shooting into the hutongs and surrounding areas. Each student will receive personal time and attention to help them take the types of photos that they are really looking for.
Some planned areas of focus for this workshop.
- Know your camera Level 2 – Furthering your technical knowledge and a recap for people who already have some experience in photography or have taken classes before.
- Environmental portraiture level 2 – ( Including a review of your work and techniques for approaching your subjects )
- How to use Available Light. ( how to control it using reflectors and diffusers etc )
- How to use a Flash ( including off camera and wirelessly )
- An introduction to Photoshop and easy ways to enhance your images.
——- Time permitting we will also discuss these subjects.
- Think tank – How to conceptualise and plan a project from start to finish. ( this is great for people looking to expand their creativity and develop a personal style or a portfolio )
- Photo stories ( we look at developing your work by making your projects into narratives )

Minimum of 5 Students and Maximum of 10 ( First Come first Served )
Course Requirements : Each student needs to bring their own Digital SLR Camera.
