Celebrate the year of the tiger with a range of children’s activities as well as special teas and refreshments for the parents. Kids can enjoy cookie making, face painting, art and movement activities. This event is in support of JUMP! Foundation; a global organization that works to empower, engage and inspire youths around the world.

Week 1 of The Hutong Connecting Cultures Culinary Challenge kicks off with Brazilian host Gaby Alves from Salt restaurant. Gaby will be treating friends to the national Brazilian dish Feijoada on March the 6th at 11;30 am.

Susan Susan Park

We are very excited to welcome a new culinary wizz to the Hutong this month. Korean born Susan Park has recently moved to Beijing from Bangkok. Not only will she be entertaining the young ones with her kids cooking classes, she will also teach Japanese, Korean & Thai.

Eva ChanEva Chan

Eva Chan, a portrait photographer and a quintessential global nomad will be teaching a basic Photography course on Tuesday evenings 7 – 9 pm. She is also available for private tuition.

On Sat March the 6th LaMarr is organising a great Wine Tasting Art Auction to fund raise for Border Statements with food and music on at D Lounge in Sanlitun from 5-7pm. There will be a number of different Beijing based Artists. Four wines will be previewed, 2 whites and 2 reds.

And will also have some spoken word poetry performances.

International Women’s Day 2010 are hosting a cocktail benefit on March 12th, at Yishu 8 art gallery, comprised of a silent auction, keynote speakers, networking and women-to-women mentorship opportunities. This year’s event will benefit the China Education Initiative
