Perhaps when you think of team building and incentive programs, you think of ropes, rivers & high risk physical challenges, however with Beijing weather not always conducive to outdoor activities, and with limited time for weekend adventures, we offer alternative, equally challenging, fun, team building experiences based in a centrally located traditional hutong courtyard.
Collaborative Kitchen
East meets West in the Kitchen, in this session participants will work as a team to produce a gourmet meal that satisfies the desire of culturally diverse palettes. Groups are broken up into pairs and given a list of recipes to choose from to prepare for everyone else at the dinner table. Piles of fresh ingredients line the table with everything you need to razzle dazzle the competition you will be competing against.
East guest is encouraged to actively contribute their own ideas to making a dish, with a touch of spontaneity and a pinch of creativity as well as to learn from each other. Participants can expect a few challenges along the way before enjoying each others dishes they have prepared.
The Hutong Challenge
Not unlike the Amazing race, this activity has participants racing through the hutongs, visiting local markets and delving into other areas of Beijing not on the regular tourist trail. Participants will be divided into teams and sent out to be resourceful and think-on-their your-feet. Each Team will be given a set of clues to follow a path that takes to unknown hidden treasures of Beijing. Leading to an open vegetable market, the Confucius Temple, bicycle repair-man and with even the possibility of climbing a local bus or hopping a bicycle – all is possible. Teams must weigh up whether to choose the efficient approach by using the clues for help or getting extra points for independently achieving the result.
